Welcome to Sausalito

Lifestyle

Sausalito offers some of the best views of San Francisco that Marin County has to offer. Stroll along the bayfront promenade on a weekend, and you’ll hear the languages of visitors who come from all over the world. Sausalito is known for the Sausalito Art Festival, hidden hillside walkways, funky houseboat colonies, fresh seafood, live music scene, access to water sports, unforgettable views and town spirit. Parades aplenty from 4th of July to Halloween or the lighted Christmas boat water parade this community is all about celebration, town spirit and supporting local.

Landscape

Newly renovated Dunphy Park, Schoonmaker and Swedes Beach are favorites among locals. Enchanting hillside homes, perched by the sea vary in architecture and charm, yet all unique.

Architecture

Located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito boasts quick access to San Francisco by car, bus, bike or best of all, ferry.

Essentials

Sausalito’s Bridgeway is home to bay front shops, art galleries, restaurants and ice cream parlors with breathtaking views of the city, Angel Island and Belvedere. Caledonia is the main commerce street in town and leads straight to City Hall and Robyn Sweeny Park- the local children’s hot spot.
